Air Hogs Havoc Laser Battle set

It was "bad" enough (not "bad" meaning bad, but "bad" meaning good) that they came out with the Apache Havoc to rip money right out of my wallet. Now they're doing the Laser Battle set!

I've got one of these sets on the way. It oncludes two Havoc Helis with new competition bodies that look a little bit like AH-1 Cobras, each equipped with an infrared "laser" that can "shoot down" the other one! The first shot sends the enemy spiralling out of control briefly. The second in a row in a short period knocks them out of the sky completely! What a concept! It'll be like playing a video game that's actually real (though completely safe, whew). Can't wait!

Welcome to RC Havoc!

Finally it's time to go public with my second RC blog! This one will be dedicated to the senstional Air Hogs Havoc by Spin Master, its variations & spin-offs, and similar micro RC helicopters. Enjoy!

Air Hogs Apache Havoc

If there was one thing I didn't like about the original Havoc, it was the look of the fuselage. Taken from the original Silverlit Picco Z, I thought it was uninspired and, well, frankly, a really weak aesthetic design. Well, it looks like Spin Master agreed! Check out the new AH-64 Apache edition!

I'm a huge fan of this one; it looks so much more realistic and less like a really cheap toy. It still flies just as well, too. Be sure to read my full Air Hogs Apache Havoc review for the full scoop. Here's an Apache Havoc video for your enjoyment.
